Reading FC's Hal Robson-Kanu Interesting Premier League Clubs

He's out of contract in the summer, but is the Premier League his next destination? One national newspaper think it will be...

Always one to divide opinion, Hal Robson-Kanu has had a good season by his (low) standards, netting five goals and getting seven assists in all competitions, prompting me to even vote for him in the club's Player of the Season poll.

It seems that I'm not not only one impressed with what I've seen this campaign, as The Mirror are reporting that both Watford and Southampton want to take the Welsh international to the Premier League this summer. It was reported back in February that Swansea and Aston Villa were also tracking him, so it seems that Robson-Kanu won't be short of offers when his contract runs out at Reading this summer.

The paper claim that the forward had scheduled talks at the end of the season with the Royals, but will now wait until after Euro 2016 to decide his future. By then, he'll probably have scored a hat-trick against England and the already slim chance of him staying in Berkshire will be gone.

There is a poll at the bottom of their article asking readers "Could Hal Robson-Kanu cut it in the Premier League?", with the responses standing at 41% yes and 59% no at the time of writing. It could be said that in his nine years at the Madejski Stadium, the 26 year old did enjoy his best spell whilst in the top tier - his seven league goals is a tally he has never bettered.

What do you think about the rumour? Could HRK cut it in the Premier League? Let us know in the comments below...
