First of all a big congratulations to Burnley on their promotion to the Premier League! For Brighton and Middlesbrough however, it is going down to the wire, as they play each other next week. Find out how the promotion hopefuls and the rest of the second tier got on in this season's penultimate Championship Spotlight.
Game of the Week
St Andrew's hosted the game of the week as Middlesbrough's promotion hopes suffered a blow following a 2-2 draw against Birmingham.
The Blues took the lead after loanee Ritchie De Laet could only clear as far as Stephen Gleeson and the Birmingham midfielder was given too much time to steady himself. Konstantopoulos got a hand to his 25-yard drive, but he could not keep out Gleeson's strike.
Middlesbrough equalised five minutes from half time when Adam Legzdins fumbled a Gaston Ramirez free kick and Jordan Rhodes was on hand to bundle it in from 4 yards.
In the 57th minute, Middlesbrough took the lead. Albert Adomah's deep cross was met at the far post by Southampton loanee Ramirez to head home from barely a yard out.
Back came Birmingham 11 minutes later though as David Davis hit a brilliant half-volley from the edge of the area after Daniel Ayala could only half clear.
Man of the Match: Jordan Rhodes
Player of the Week
Gary Hooper is this week's player of the week. The prolific striker scored twice and assisted the other as Sheffield Wednesday secured their play off place with a 3-0 victory over Cardiff.
Goal of the Week
Gary Hooper makes it a duo of awards, winning goal of the week for this delightful goal.
