On-Loan Reading FC Winger Tariqe Fosu Wins League Two Player Of The Month

Fosu is on fire and everyone's defence is terrified.

The Football League

Reading FC academy graduate Tariqe Fosu has been given the League Two Player of the Month award. An impressive April saw the speedster nab three goals and two assists.

Speaking to The Football League, he said:

“When I arrived, I didn’t expect to get straight into the team but it’s gone well for me.

“The fans and my teammates and the manager have been amazing as well, they’ve helped me a lot.”

And Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman said:

“Fosu’s goals and creativity in April have lead Accrington to the verge of promotion with a win in their final game enough to secure promotion to League 1.

“With the lowest budget in the Football League, bringing in players of Fosu’s quality on loan from bigger clubs is a vital ingredient to success and John Coleman will be delighted with the job he’s done.”

The judging panel is made up of Sky Sports Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.

Fosu To Make An Impact Next Season

Fosu is the type of player loyal Royals have been crying out for since the autumn. He's exciting, pacey, dynamic and entertaining to watch. It's easy to see why Accrington Stanley fans adore him.

And while Reading fans have seen a similar player take to the Madejski Stadium pitch in Ola John, his low stamina and inconsistency means we never really know what we're going to get with him.

If Fosu's April is anything to go by, Reading fans can only hope to see Fosu representing The Royals in the Championship next season.
