Well, well, well, this is interesting, isn't it? Reading FC just keep coming up with the juicy news for us with every passing day.
Yesterday, it was the transfer movements and new goalkeeper, today it's a triallist and missing players.
Three surprising names missing from squad list of Holland trip
Jaap Stam has taken his charges to his homeland for a training camp and a thrilling pre-season friendly against Saudi Arabian top flight side Al-Taawoun FC this week.
Yet there are some surprising names missing from the list of players Stam has taken with them. According to the official site, this is who's there:
Ali Al Habsi
Anssi Jaakkola
Lewis Ward
Tennai Watson
Jordan Obita
Jake Cooper
Danzell Gravenberch
Paul McShane
Robert Dickie
Zak Jules
George Evans
Joey Van den Berg
Danny Williams
Liam Kelly
Craig Tanner
Garath McCleary
Yann Kermorgant
Deniss Rakels
Dominic Samuel
Joseph Mendes
Gaston Campi (triallist)
That's right, despite scoring twice against Boreham Wood just days ago, Tariqe Fosu is not in Holland.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! Well, we don't know for sure. He could have picked up a slight injury, he could be on the verge of signing for another club, or going out on loan; it could be that Stam only had a certain number of spaces in his squad and he already knows Fosu is absolute #flames so doesn't need to bother.
You'll also have noticed that Barrett and Stacey aren't on the squad list either. It could be for the same reasons as Fosu (though I'm hesitant to add the #flames tag to them just yet), or it could be what this fella says:
Fosu, Barrett and Stacey just didnt get their passports in time. Chill. #readingfc

But I'll say again: we don't know.
Campi is on trial
One thing we do know is that Argentine midfielder/defender Gaston Campi has linked up with The Royals on trial. He's 25 years old and is currently signed to Racing Club, in his homeland.
There are multiple reports on this deal. Charles Watts of GetReading explains:
Reports in South America claim that Campi will join Reading on loan for the season, with the view to a permanent $1.2 million deal.
But getreading understands that is not the case and that Campi is in fact available as a free agent - despite him still being contracted to Argentine side Racing Club until June 2017.
Either way, we expect him to join Reading FC for the 2016/17 season in some capacity and to make his debut for the club on Friday.
You want to know more about Campi? I haven't got any. I can tell you what I do know: he's 65 rated on FIFA.
Oh look, a video compilation!
If we get any more news, we'll let you know.
