With Jaap Stam leading a 21-man strong squad in the Netherlands for a training camp and friendly, what's left of Reading's ranks made the trip to Essex to face Isthmian Premier League Billericay Town and came back with a 2-1 win.
We know little of what happened during the game given the fact that both teams' official social media channels didn't seem to acknowledge the game was even happening. Thankfully some people did turn up and what we do know is the result and who was involved in the Reading squad.

The big take away from a Reading perspective is that two of the three notable young omissions from the Holland jaunt in Jack Stacey and Josh Barrett started last night. Just as interestingly there was no Tariqe Fosu or Aaron Kuhl in the squad, so either they're injured or there's something in the works for the pair.
Reading also fielded a trialist last night but no word yet as to whom that might be.
We'll update you with more details if they're ever reported!
