Reading FC Reach For Boro Star

Okay, he might not be a star, but it's a good title.

Reading Football Club have had a busy summer transfer window, with a whole bunch of players leaving and a handful arriving, but Jaap Stam is not done yet, oh no.

Not only is he (still) on the verge of signing Ron Beerens from Bundesliga side Hertha BSC, but they also want to snatch a Adam Reach from recently-promoted Middlesbrough — according to GetReading.

Adam Reach is a 23-year-old left-sided player who spent the majority of last season impressing on loan at Preston North End. He made 39 appearances in the Championship, scoring five times and assisting three of his side's goals. Whilst he spent time out on loan last season, he has made 77 appearances for his parent club and seemingly has just fallen out of favour.

Predominantly a left winger, he's also played at left back and even filled in at number ten when needed, so he's another versatile player that could be joining and providing Jordan Obita some competition.

Oh, and when he was playing for Boro he whacked this out.

Salivating yet?
