It's been just over 50 days since Jaap Stam was announced as Reading manager. So far we've seen no competitive action but nonetheless it's important to gauge how you're feeling about him as we head into the new season. And the results are certainly positive - 3.83 out of 5 the rating you've given Stam as we prepare to kick off the new season.
By way of comparison, the highest figure Brian McDermott ever achieved in his second tenure at the Royals was 3.81, after two months at the helm when results started to pick up. Steve Clarke's first rating was a lofty 4.15, but that was off the back of the sacking of Nigel Adkins, and following an opening run of just one defeat in nine games.
Stam hasn't had any chance to properly prove himself yet, but the games come thick and fast in the Championship - so we'll see how you're feeling about the Dutchman in a month's time... Thanks for all your votes - the results are below.
