Reading will play Arsenal away in the fourth round of the EFL Cup. It is Jaap Stam's team reward for beating Brighton 2-1 on Tuesday.

The Gunners made it through to this stage with a  4-0 win over Nottingham Forest yesterday.

The last time the Royals and the Gunners faced off, we lost in agonising fashion in the the 2015 FA Cup semi-final 2-1 due to Adam Federici's error. We have played the North London club a total of 13 times, losing on every occasion.

It is the first time Reading have reached the fourth round since 2012, when they of course succumbed to the infamous 7-5 defeat to Arsenal. Will we see a repeat of that incredible match?

The game is scheduled to be played in the week commencing 24th October, but full details will be revealed in due course.
