Danzell Gravenberch – KSV Roeselare (Belgian First Division B) Appearances: 2

Gravenberch has struggled to earn any sort of game time at Roeselare since joining the club, and things didn’t improve this month either with the Dutch defender earning just 78 minutes in total, all of which coming in a defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise.

He was resigned to a place on the bench for the following two weeks before dropping out of the match day squad altogether for the most recent two fixtures against Westerlo and Leuven.

Jonathan Bond – Peterborough United (League One) Appearances: 12 Clean Sheets: 2

Bond has enjoyed a terrific start to life at Peterborough, and his confidence would have only improved this month thanks to notably impressive displays against MK Dons, Wigan and Walsall. Bond kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory over the Dons and featured in every minute of his side’s fixtures this month.

Luke Southwood – Bath City (National League South) Appearances: 15 Clean Sheets: 5

After a solid September that produced four clean sheets for the young goalkeeper, Southwood has really hit the ground running at Bath, and helped to improve his record to one clean sheet every three games with an excellent month.

He played every minute for his side in six matches, including in notable victories against Concord Rangers, Hemel Hempstead and Knaphill in the FA Cup. Three of his four clean sheets came in those wins, and the Englishman also shut out Wealdstone to make it four in five games.

Lewis Ward – Hungerford Town (National League South) Appearances: 16 Clean Sheets: 4

Like Southwood, Lewis Ward has also enjoyed a great start to life in Hungerford, and he played in all seven matches for Town this month. The keeper kept one clean sheet – in a 3-0 FA Cup win over Gloucester City – but performed well in a 2-1 win over Bognor Regis and 1-1 draw with Billericay.

Ward moves to a record of one clean sheet ever four matches and will look to improve on that through the rest of October.

Rob Dickie – Lincoln City (League Two) Appearances: 9 Clean Sheets: 2

Dickie helped his side earn two clean sheets this month, in a 0-0 draw with Grimsby and a 1-0 victory over Forest Green. After starting the month as an unused substitute against Stevenage, Dickie went on to play all 90 minutes in the following five fixtures as he cemented his place as a starter in this side.

Yakou Meite – FC Sochaux (Ligue 2) Appearances: 6 Goals: 1

Meite has been a bit-part player for FCSM since joining on loan, featuring just three times this month, playing 65 minutes against Gazelec Ajaccio, 90 minutes against Auxerre and 90 minutes against Reims.

In that game against Reims, Meite scored a penalty in a 4-2 defeat but was sent off with ten minutes to go, earning himself a two-game suspension.

Deniss Rakels – Lech Poznan (Ekstraklasa) Appearances: 3

Rakels hasn’t had a look in since joining Lech Poznan at the start of the summer, and the Latvian international did not feature in his side’s four matches this month, turning out as an unused substitute in games against Slask Wroclaw and Pogon Szczecin but dropping out of the squad against Korona Kielce and Legia Warsaw.

Andrija Novakovich – SC Telstar (Eerste Divisie) Appearances: 8 Goals: 3

Novakovich has been a revelation at Telstar since joining the club, scoring three times in five appearances this month. He bagged in a 2-2 draw against AZ II, a 78th minute winner from the spot in a 3-2 win against Den Bosch and a 7th minute penalty in a 4-1 defeat to VVSB. He also played 90 minutes in a draw with Ajax II and a 6-0 annihilation at the hands of Fortuna Sittard.

Sandro Wieser – KSV Roeselare (Belgian First Division B) Appearances: 3

Wieser has enjoyed a marginally better start at Roeselare than his Royals team-mate Gravenberch, as the Lichtenstein international featured in three matches for the Belgian club over the past month, playing 90 minutes against Cercle Brugge, Club Brugge and 82 minutes against Leuven.

LOAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Andrija Novakovich is enjoying a purple patch at Telstar at the minute, scoring three in three at the back end of the month.
