Here's how Becka rated the players after Reading’s midweek comeback at the Macron.

Anssi Jaakkola: 5

Not the best distribution and looked panicked at times when the ball was passed back to him. Probably could have done better with the first goal but made a great save to keep the game at 2-2 right at the end.

Chris Gunter: 5

Through no fault of his own, it always seemed to take one too many passes for the ball to get to him, and by that point the Bolton player had already closed him down.

Tyler Blackett: 4

Gave away the foul unnecessarily which led to the first goal, and just wasn't effective on the ball.

Paul McShane: 5

Definitely could have done better when defending the first goal. Not one of his best performances.

Liam Moore: 6

He wasn't letting anyone else get to that ball when he scored the first goal! Easily the most passionate Reading player on the pitch.

Leandro Bacuna: 6

Took a very good penalty to level the game. One of the better ones of a bad bunch on the evening.

John Swift: N/A

Subbed off too early with injury to make any significant impact on the game.

Dave Edwards: 5

Quiet evening in the middle, didn't do anything particularly wrong, just nothing stood out either.

Sone Aluko: 5

Had a few chances on goal, a couple of which were saved, but on the whole an underwhelming performance from Aluko.

Modou Barrow: 6

Set up the first goal with a quick, low cross into the box, then won the penalty a few minutes later. Probably Reading's most effective player going forward.

Roy Beerens: 4

Non-existent.

Subs

Pelle Clement: 5

The Dutchman showed more glimpses of what he can do after coming on early in the game. A respectable performance on the whole.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson: 5

Got himself into a couple of decent positions, but Liam Moore was too quick for him to score the first goal.

Liam Kelly - 6

2-0 down. Liam Kelly comes on. 2-2 within 12 minutes. Coincidence? I think not.

Average: 5.15
