Vito Mannone: 6
At fault for Derby's first goal but made some excellent saves throughout, so on the whole a good performance.
Omar Richards: 8
What an impressive first league start for our young left back. He was cool under pressure, made some great defensive decisions and looked like he'd been playing in the first team for years.
Liam Moore: 7
A fabulous header to open the scoring for Reading, and formed a great partnership with McShane.
Paul McShane: 7
Who needs attacking players when one centre back scores and the other one sets it up for him? A confident performance from McShane.
Chris Gunter: 7
An afternoon of winding up Derby players and fans alike. Picked up a silly yellow card for time wasting, but it was worth it just to see the stare out he had with the crowd. A good defensive performance and kept his head even with emotions running high.
Leandro Bacuna: 6
Another good display from the former Villa man. He's really showing that he's versatile in the positions he can play and he is very intelligent with the ball. He's proving to be a very smart summer investment.
John Swift: 6
A great free kick for the first goal and assisted Aluko for his. It's good to see the Swift we saw at the start of last season coming back, he'll be really handy if he can keep it up.
Dave Edwards: 6
A quiet but effective performance in midfield, and a nice little assist for Mo Barrow to round off a good display.
Sone Aluko: 6
Well, his goal was pretty good wasn't it? I think Aluko can be selfish with the ball at times but it certainly paid off on Saturday.
Mo Barrow: 7
Probably should have scored a hat-trick, but it was third time lucky for Barrow when he finally got on the score sheet. Looked quick and confident going forward.
Roy Beerens: 7
It may have looked like an easy finish for his goal, but Beerens did well to read what the keeper was going to do. Should have had a couple of assists too with two identical attacking moves with Barrow. His best performance of the season
Substitutes
Yann Kermorgant: 6
Immediately made an impact when he came onto the pitch; his first touch of the ball led to the horrific Derby back pass for Beerens' goal. I love having him back.
