We'll start with the good news and Reading Women goalkeeper Mary Earps has been named in the PFA Team of the Year for 2016/17 as the Royals beat relegation in the WSL 1.
Joining the likes of England stars Steph Houghton, Lucy Bronze, and Enola Aluko in the XI, the 24-year-old has been a key player since joining from Bristol last year.
However, where one team succeeds, another falls down as the men's side had no players named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Perhaps John Swift, nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Year award, Ali Al-Habsi, and Garath McCleary felt they were within a shout, but it wasn't to be. To be fair, it's hard to imagine any defender coming close given the headline-hitting 7-1 rout at Norwich.
