Nottingham Forest 3-2 Reading FC: Player Ratings

Here's how Becka rated the players after the Royals' 3-2 away defeat at the City Ground.

Ali Al-Habsi – 5

Had a heart in mouth moment watching him in the first half but thankfully Blackett came to the rescue. Didn't make any shockers but still let in three goals.

Chris Gunter – 5

I'm not sure I liked him in a back 3, he looked much better when the formation changed just after half time when Beerens replaced Popa. A poor pass to Danny Williams led to Forest's first goal of the afternoon.

Liam Moore – 6

Probably our best player defensively, and cleverly left the ball alone to allow Kermorgant to get his second goal of the afternoon.

Tyler Blackett – 5

Saved Ali Al-Habsi's blushes in the first half but could have done much better for Forest's 2nd and 3rd goals. Not one of his best games.

Jordan Obita – 6

Had more success on the left hand side than Popa did on the right. Put in a great cross for Kermorgant's first goal

Adrian Popa – 4

Looked out of his depth as a wing back and out of position at times. I almost felt a little sorry for him with the constant barrage from the Forest winger, as I have definitely seen him playing much more effectively during his short time at Reading.

Danny Williams – 5

Not as influential as he was against Rotherham and was subbed early in the second half.

John Swift – 5

Unlucky to see his shot go wide in the second half, but on the whole a quiet afternoon for Swift.

Liam Kelly – 6

Looked lively in midfield, especially during the second half. Kelly battled hard, and gave energy that we have got so used to seeing this season.

Lewis Grabban – 6

It was interesting to see Grabban and Kermorgant starting together. It's very clear that they've played successfully together in the past, and they read each others game very well. Forced a good save from the Forest 'keeper in the first half.

Yann Kermorgant – 7

Our top scorer came up with the goods again, taking his goal tally for the season to 16. Not bad for a 35 year old! I love watching him play, and I think he will play a vital role in our final games this season.

Subs

George Evans – 6

I was surprised not to see Evans start this one to be honest, and he did well when he came on. Looked confident and commanding in midfield.

Roy Beerens – 6

Pinged the ball into the box for the secon

d goal and looked lively down the wing.

Joseph Mendes – N/A

Not on long enough to give him a score, but he seriously got stuck in. I can see why he's fast becoming a favourite.
