After seeing their hopes of signing Norwich’s Nelson Oliveira dashed, Reading are reportedly looking elsewhere in the Championship for a new striker with Jon Dadi Bodvarsson on the verge of signing from Wolves.
This rumour comes a little out of the blue, but Tim Spiers, the Wolves correspondent at the West Midlands’ Express and Star appears pretty adamant that the move is a goer.
I understand Jon Dadi Bodvarsson is on the verge on joining Reading on a permanent deal #wwfc

Spiers also appears to dismiss reports that Bodvarsson is being looked at by Ipswich, as reported by the East Anglian Times.
nope, never reported that.

Bodvarsson, 25, only moved to Molineux last summer for around £1 million from German side Kaiserslautern, and scored three goals and grabbed three assists in 42 Championship appearances - which doesn’t sound like the most promising record.
It seems that new boss Nuno Gomes does not see the Iceland international, who can also play on the right wing, as part of his plans for the new season, reportedly telling Bodvarsson that he is free to leave the club.
