Reading need a striker. With just three senior goal-getters in the current squad, one of which will miss the start of the new season through injury, Jaap Stam is on the look out for a new frontman to bolster the firepower of his team.

Yesterday, Ross McCormack and Nahki Wells (of course) became the latest players to be linked with a move to Berkshire, joining a list that already comprised of Sone Aluko, Idrissa Sylla, Ashley Fletcher and Tomer Hemed.
