According to FranceFootball.Fr, Reading are interested in a move for Caen midfielder Jordan Nkololo. The 24 year-old, who can apparently "play several positions in midfield", spent the second half of last season on loan at Stade Laval, for whom he scored one goal in 12 games.
At international level, despite being born in Creteil (France), Nkololo has turned out five times for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He's contracted to Caen for another year, but is reportedly getting short on game time for the Normandy-based team. That makes me wonder why Reading would actually be after him in the first place. Having seemingly lost Danny Williams this summer, would we really want to replace him with a player who's been farmed out to the French second tier for match practice?
Add in the fact that the FranceFootball.Fr article doesn't carry any quotes or other information backing up the story, and none of this looks entirely likely.
