You mean you weren’t up at 4.30am to watch it live?

Reading’s reward for beating Millwall in the second round of the League/EFL/Milk/Rumbalows/Coca-Cola/Worthington/Carabao Cup is a home tie to Premier League Swansea City. Yup we’ll let the excitement sink in, go on we’ll wait.

The draw was made in Beijing around 4.30am UK time... because... well... we have no idea to be honest.

The tie will be played on Tuesday September 19th at the Madejski Stadium, with no ticket details as of yet.

While Swansea aren’t exactly glamour opponents, it’s at least a home tie we should have a decent chance of actually winning.

We’ve faced the Swans a fair few times in cup competitions over the past, knocking the Welsh side out of this very competition in 1997, 2005 and 2007. We also knocked them out of the FA Cup in 2005 before also losing some meaningless game at Wembley in 2011.....

Anyway, one for your diaries, just in case you missed the several hundred pre-season friendly games played between the sides in the past few years.
