He joins the same side as Danzell Gravenberch

We really, really don’t blame if you had forgotten that Sandro Wieser existed, but it turns out that he is indeed still alive and has today moved to KSV Roeselare on loan.

His new club play in the Belgian First Division B and like Reading are owned by Dai Xiu Li. Danzell Gravenberch also completed a loan switch there last month and has helped them to top of the table after three games. Well, I say helped but he hasn’t actually featured yet.

As for Mr Wieser, it remains a bit of mystery as to why Jaap Stam signed him in the first place last summer as he is yet to play a first team game. Instead, the 24-year-old turned out regularly for the academy sides and made two appearances in the Checkatrade Trophy, getting sent off in one of them.

He remains a regular for the Lichtenstein international team though, and will look to add to his 38 caps in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Whether we’ll actually ever see Wieser turn out in the blue and white hoops seems unlikely, but we wish him luck at Roeselare nonetheless!
