After a disappointing defeat to fellow strugglers Queens Park Rangers, Reading travel to the Midlands to play in-form West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies are looking to return to the Premier League and are currently well in the promotion mix. Can the Royals pull off a huge result at the Hawthorns or will Hal Robson-Kanu haunt his former employers?

Striking duo Jon Dadi Bödvarsson and Sam Baldock are injury doubts coming into this game, with the Icelander picking up an injury in the warm-up against QPR forcing a late change, Yakou Meite coming in as a target man. Josh Sims and John Swift are pushing for starts after bright performances from the bench in the defeat to QPR.
Top goalscorer: Jon Dadi Bödvarsson - 7 (all competitions)

The Baggies are currently fourth in the Championship with an impressive start to the season. Star winger Matt Philips is facing a race against time to overcome a muscle strain; the Scotsman has missed the last three games through this injury. The Baggies could draft in new winger Bakary Sako to replace him, or stick with Tyrone Mears. Otherwise West Brom have no new injury concerns, so former Royal Hal Robson-Kanu could be in the frame to face his former club.
Top goalscorer: Jay Rodriguez - 7 (all competitions)

This by far is Reading’s toughest test of the season! West Brom have a Premier League level squad and the home advantage to match. Reading are struggling with injuries and lack of confidence which doesn’t bode well coming into a game like this. I unfortunately can see a West Brom victory but would love to be proved wrong!
