Anssi Jaakkola - 4
With a rotating cast in goal due to injuries and form, Jaakkola did little to convince anyone he is the short- or long-term answer between the sticks. From goal kicks which went straight out of play, to one mix-up with O’Shea which almost gave Ipswich an open goal, he was shaky throughout.
Andy Yiadom - 5
Didn’t get forward too much in the match, and struggled at times defensively too, especially with the error which led to Ipswich’s second.
Liam Moore - 4
This might have been his worst performance in a Reading shirt. Indecisive throughout the match, and involved in the mix-up for the visitors’ second goal.
John O’Shea - 4
Outmuscled in the incident for Ipswich’s second, had another near-calamity with Jaakkola later on.
Tyler Blackett - 5
Showed some nice touches going forward but a liability defensively, with Ipswich regularly finding space in behind him.
Andy Rinomhota - 5
Didn’t really lose the ball, didn’t really affect the game in a positive way either.
Liam Kelly - 5
Part of a midfield that seemed to be bypassed in attack, and invisible in defence. I don’t see why he can’t play ten yards further forward, rather than coming to collect the ball from defenders who could pass it to him anyway.
Leandro Bacuna - 5
Defensively poor, but picked out Meite with a fantastic drilled cross to get the late equaliser.
Mo Barrow - 4
Looked unlucky to be booked for diving early on, but aside from that, did very little to affect the game.
Yakou Meite - 7
Took his two goals extremely well. Offered very little else in attack, barely touching the ball, although this is also a by-product of poor service.
Sam Baldock - 4
Put in the cross for Meite’s first goal, and did little else aside from missing two golden chances in the final few minutes.

Garath McCleary - 6
A conventional winger who caused Ipswich a number of problems once he was introduced.
John Swift - n/a
Little impact, aside from being another body further up-field.
Marc McNulty - n/a
Little impact.
