Fulham 1-0 Reading FC: Player Ratings

Catch how Waldemar Januszczak rated each individual player.

Vito Mannone: 7

On a really lucky day, might have kept out Johansen’s goal, but a couple of excellent second half saves capped off a fine and reliable performance.

Chris Gunter: 5

Classic Gunter. No forward thrust whatsoever, but a brilliant goal line clearance in the second half.

Liam Moore: 7

Faultless. Spent most of the game taming the gigantic Mitrovic.

Tiago Ilori: 7

His best game for Reading. Assured and cocky. Only blot was a typical second half stumble brought about by an over-confident turn.

Omar Richards: 4

Spent the game looking lightweight. Decent enough going forwards, but gave the ball away for the Fulham goal.

Leandro Bacuna: 4

Nothing special, but played reasonably well in a holding role... until the stupid sending off.

Dave Edwards: 6

Didn’t penetrate much as an advanced midfielder. But impressed with his mature handling of the post-goal panic.

Liam Kelly: 4

What’s happened to Kelly? Everything sideways. Can’t find his man. Not a single penetrative pass. Looks like he needs a holiday.

Sone Aluko: 4

Did absolutely nothing. And what’s with the constant over-hitting of passes and centres?

Mo Barrow: 6

Our best attacker, again. If only he could buy some composure.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson: 5

Tried hard, and was genuinely effective for the first 30 minutes. Then ran out of steam.

SUBS

John Swift: 4

Gave the ball away a lot, and was too easily shrugged off the ball.

Yann Kermogant: 4

Huffed and puffed, to no obvious effect.

Chris Martin: 4

Needs to go on a diet.
