If you wanted any evidence at how stunned last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Ipswich left the Madejski Stadium, then you only need look at the fact that no one at all went for a Reading defeat in the Prediction League. With the Tractor Boys apparently ‘on the beach’, everyone was confident that the Royals would pick up the point or three they needed to secure Championship survival. But no, it was nil points for Paul Clement’s men, and nil points for everyone in the Prediction League, with no correct guesses of Martyn Waghorn to be the first goalscorer either. The therefore unchanged leaderboard is below.
So Reading go into the final game of the season still not mathematically safe from relegation. They travel to Cardiff, who themselves are in need of a win to confirm automatic promotion to the Premier League. All you have to do is guess the score of the game and say who you think will score the first goal in the comments below. A correct score earns two points, a correct result earns one point, as does a correct first goalscorer.
To get the ball rolling, I’m going for a 2-0 win to Cardiff, with Kenneth Zohore being the first goalscorer.
