It is over a month before Reading start their 2018/19 campaign and Paul Clement has called his side in for a five-and-a-half week pre-season that began on Monday.
Among those pictured at Hogwood were Danny Loader, Liam Moore, Mo Barrow and Adi Popa, the Romanian winger back from a loan spell in the Middle East to potentially kickstart his Royals career.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson remains on World Cup duty so won’t be expected back for at least a couple of weeks, with Iceland’s next (and perhaps last) game coming on Tuesday.
“It’s always a test, pre-season. I quite enjoy it in a way because you push yourself to the limit. I’ve been doing some runs we were given for the off-season and they were actually quite tough... So I’ve come back to pre-season for a break!” Paul McShane to the Club Twitter.
The first time Reading will be in match action this summer will be June 30 and a trip to Eastleigh.
