It has been confirmed that Leandro Bacuna has signed for Premier League side Cardiff City, bring to an end a year and a half long spell at Reading.
The Curacao international joined the Royals back in August 2017 from Aston Villa, making 66 appearances in total for the club, scoring five goals. The fee for the transfer has been announced as undisclosed, but is rumoured to be around £3 million.
Often a versatile option in Reading’s midfield who was able to play at righ-back, Bacuna had his moments in the blue and white hoops and was a regular in the starting XI, but ultimately he has been part of a team that has struggled for a results ever since he joined.
Although Bacuna’s move appeared to come out of the blue(bird), in his first interview with Cardiff’s official website, the 27-year-old said: “A few weeks ago, I was made aware of some interest and it has all gone from there.”
We wish all the best to Leandro in his future career!
