Reading ‘Confident’ Of Ovie Ejaria Loan Return

Reading Football Club are pushing to secure Ovie Ejaria’s signature for a second loan stint in West Berkshire.

The Liverpool midfielder developed well in his six months with the Royals last season, growing into Jose Gomes’ style and linking defence to attack with great technique and agility. He also scored one goal, placing home an excellent passing move against Rotherham United.

According to Football Insider, talks with Liverpool have begun to loan Ejaria once again. Their source reckons Reading are “confident” that the Reds will allow him to sign.

While the 21-year-old arrived as someone apparently liked by Jurgen Klopp, he hasn’t done enough to trouble the German’s first-team regulars, nor earn a go at a fellow Premier League club.

Therefore it makes sense for all parties to continue his progress in Reading under the security of a long-term contract at Anfield, which he signed last summer. If the deal goes through soon, he will be Gomes’ first signing of the summer.
