Rafael: 8
He pulled of a couple of smart stops and his distribution was excellent. So much composure makes a huge difference.
Andy Yiadom: 6
He did OK, even though he wasn’t as swashbuckling as he normally is. A couple of silly fouls meant he was probably lucky not to get a booking. Did his job well.
Liam Moore: 7
Standard display from our captain who led by example, was defensively solid, and made a couple of good blocks.
Michael Morrison: 8
He gets a bonus point for the goal - a thunderbolt header to make it 2-0. He’s showing himself to be an astute signing. A brilliant defensive performance.
Matt Miazga: N/A
He was looking decent until it looked like he fell awkwardly. Hopefully won’t be missing for long.
Omar Richards: 6
In reality he had a torrid first half, chasing shadows for much of it, but improved after the break like his teammates. Got caught out a couple of times.
Ovie Ejaria: 7
He got his goal, but the first 45 minutes of this game generally passed him by. However, I can’t fault his effort.
John Swift: 8
This is purely based on his second-half showing, as in the first half he was dire and got harassed out of the game. However, an excellent second-half performance, with two assists to boot. Could this be his best season?
Pele: 7
He really does try hard. I cannot fault the effort - technique a little suspect at times - but he deserves his place in this team. He will only improve and get more valuable as games go on.
Lucas Joao: 6
In the first half he was working with scraps and gave the defence a hard time, but really he needed support.
Lucas Boye: 6
This man divides opinion - I spoke to a few fans in the ground who thought he was poor, but if there was anything good in the first half it came from him. Like Pele he will get better with more games.
Subs
Tom McIntyre: 8
Slotted in seamlessly, replacing Miazga after 20 minutes or so. A composed performance, he doesn’t take any messing from the opposition either.
George Puscas: 7
He started the fightback by scaring the living daylights out the Huddersfield defence. Puscas gets the ball, runs and shoots - what else do you want?
Andy Rinomhota: N/A
A cameo again, but he didn’t look out of place.
Average: 7/10
