The new football season is underway and that means a new instalment of the FIFA series, and Reading are set to be an okay-ish team according to their individual player stats.
FIFA 20 sees goalkeeper Rafael named as the Royals’ best player from the off, coming in at a sturdy 74 before 73-rated trio Liam Moore, Matt Miazga, and Lucas Boye. With the two former Serie A men coming in high, it is unsurprising how the game rates top-flight experience when deciding these metrics.
Andy Yiadom, Ovie Ejaria and John Swift nudge up to 72 while Michael Morrison, Pele and George Puscas are a mark lower. It feels as though the Romanian could be higher than this, and his potential will no doubt be good when that is revealed, but for now there is a sense his 68 shooting stat is a little undervalued.
Lucas Joao is the only other player in this bracket, rated 70. That puts Andy Rinomhota, Yakou Meite (both 69), Omar Richards (66) and Chris Gunter (66) among those in the 60s. Curiously, Rinomhota boasts a passing stat of just 61 but pace of 80 and dribbling of 73. Seems they took the ‘Rino’ nickname quite seriously.
Further down the list are the likes of Danny Loader (64), Joao Virginia (63) and Josh Barrett (61), making FIFA players very happy that we didn’t persevere with the Everton loanee in between the sticks.
