Many of us were expecting a loss from Reading’s trip to South Wales on Saturday, but the Royals pulled off a creditable draw against high-flying Swansea City. As at Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek, Reading struck late on to secure a 1-1 draw - on this occasion Andy Yiadom rifled home from the right side of the box to send the away end into euphoria.
That cancelled out a lead that the home side had enjoyed for almost all of the game. A few minutes in, Borja Baston found a worrying amount of space in between Liam Moore and Michael Morrison to head home Andre Ayew’s right-wing cross.
The result leaves Reading at the wrong end of the table, but does end our losing streak in the Championship. Now on the horizon are tough fixtures against Fulham and Bristol City before the second international break of the season.
