Rafael: 5
Nothing to do all game apart from picking the ball out of his net after Paterson’s header put the hosts 1-0 up.
Tom Holmes: 5
Did his job well, as he usually does. Was withdrawn midway through the second half for the more attack-minded Tomas Esteves as Pauno went for all three points.
Michael Morrison and Liam Moore: 5
Both are getting fives - mainly because they had pretty much nothing to do all evening. Morrison should’ve done better with a headed chance from a corner in the second half though.
Omar Richards: 6
Just keeps getting better and better. Didn’t need to do anything defensively, but was a constant outlet going forward and should’ve had a penalty in the second half - more on that in the report.
Josh Laurent: 7
Bae. What a man, what a player. Everything went through the former Shrewsbury man. I think it’s fair to say he’s made the step up to the Championship with a relative amount of ease.
Andy Rinomhota: 5
Once the hosts went down to 10 men, the game didn't really suit Rino unfortunately as his qualities lie in winning the ball back and bursting through the lines with his energy. Sacrificed so that Pauno could get more ball-playing players on the pitch in the second half.
Michael Olise: 7
Just too good for this level - even at the tender age of 18. The decision to take him off was utterly bizarre as he was heavily involved in pretty much every attack. Went close with two brilliant free kicks, the first of which hitting the base of the post.
Alfa Semedo: 5
Started the game on the right hand side of a front three which was strange. Struggled to get involved in the game at all to be honest, however he did go close with an effort that forced Wildsmith into a sensational save.
Ovie Ejaria: 6
Looks like he’s really starting to find his groove. Got an assist in the first half and was heavily involved throughout. Just because of how good he is though, still expect more. Exciting that he’s still got a lot more to come.
Lucas Joao: 6
Only gets a six because he grabbed the equaliser - other than that he was non-existent. Whether that’s the service to him or not, still expect him to be more involved than he was.
Subs
Tomas Esteves: 5
Came on to offer more going forward than his teammate Tom Holmes - which he duly did. Just the end pass let him down on one too many occasions.
Sone Aluko: 5
Same as Esteves, really. Probably should’ve come on earlier, maybe even started the game. But, like everybody else, struggled to come up with the piece of magic to unlock a stubborn Wednesday defence.
Sam Baldock: 5
Came on for Olise (for some reason), and again didn't really look up to speed. Should’ve had a penalty mind you.
Average: 5.50/10
