Reading return home with what should, on paper at least, be a winnable game against Wigan Athletic. The Latics are in the relegation zone, but are unbeaten in their last three and will surely make life difficult for the Royals at the Madejski Stadium. To find out a bit more about Wigan, we spoke to Latics fan Will Jones.
How would you sum up your season so far?
Season has been a disappoint me so far. Realistically I never expected us to finish far from the relegation zone but I had hopes it could be a comfortable mid-table season. The team has played better since the beginning of the new year though.
What are the main strengths of this Wigan side?
I would say the main strength is in the midfield. We are usually able to get on the ball quite a bit.
Any weaknesses for Reading to exploit?
We do not defend set pieces well and we often lose goals late in games. We signed a new center back in January, Leon Balogun that appears to be helping with that but its been the story of the season.

How do Wigan set up tactically?
Normally play a 4-5-1 but it has been fluctuating a lot lately.
How will the rest of the season pan out for you?
Big task to stay up now. Results are improving over the last ten games or so but it will be difficult.
How do you see the game going, and what will the score be?
I think possession will be fairly equal and I expect it to be an even game. We haven’t been easy to beat lately but I also don’t expect us to score twice or to keep a clean sheet so I will go with a 1-1.
