It is four years since Brian Tevreden, in his new role as Reading’s Director of Football, brought Jaap Stam to Berkshire to begin ‘the Dutch Revolution’. A lot has happened since then, and Brian now joins The Tilehurst End Podcast to go through the good and the bad.
The 38-year-old discusses recruitment strategy, the development of young players and the hectic nature of the transfer window before giving his honest thoughts on how Reading changed dramatically when Ron Gourlay was appointed CEO in 2017. We also learn what Brian is up to now, and finish with a chat on the Black Lives Matter movement and the lack of BAME individuals in boardroom positions and coaching roles in football.
Many thanks to Brian for chatting with us - it’s well worth a listen for a fascinating insight into how the club looked during a turbulent time behind the scenes.
