Chris Gunter Is Your June Player Of The Month

Handing out a Player of the Month award for June is unusual in itself, but perhaps the winner is even more unlikely. For the first time since TTE started the accolade way back in 2013, it is congratulations to Chris Gunter!

The Welshman received 42% of your votes to top the poll, as he proved a more than capable stand-in for the injured Andy Yiadom at right-back. Reports suggest that Gunter will call time on his Reading career when his contract expires this summer, and if that is the case, he is certainly finishing with a flourish.

Michael Olise (33%) came second in the poll as his impressive season continues, whilst fellow academy graduate Andy Rinomhota (25%) came third.
