Joseph Mills - Burnley (Championship) Appearances:7
Mills is still out of the side and had to settle for a place as an unused sub in Burnley's 1-0 defeat at Blackpool this weekend. The left-back hasn't featured in a game since September 25th.
*****
Mikkel Andersen - Portsmouth (League 1) Appearances: 14
Four wins in five games have helped Andersen's Portsmouth side climb the table and while their financial future and the future of manager Michael Appleton remains uncertain, things are certainly starting to go in the right direction on the pitch.
Andersen himself nearly scored the opener on Saturday when his long kick was left by everyone and bounced narrowly over, while the Danish 'keeper had to make a couple of fine saves with the scores level. The Reading loanee might be slightly disappointed with the goal he did concede in the 3-1 win as he failed to hold onto a shot that was converted by Marvin Morgan.
*****
Michael Hector - Shrewsbury (League 1) Appearances: 9
Big Hec came up against Andersen and Portsmouth this week but couldn't stop his side from slipping to a 3-1 defeat. Sadly Hector was at fault for the first as his missed clearance from a long ball allowed Wes Thomas in on goal.
****
Gozie Ugwu - Yeovil (League 1) Appearances: 4 (+8) Goals: 3
Gozie is still out injured at the moment with a hamstring injury. The striker tweeted that he's nearly back to full fitness, with local media stating he's around a week away from a return.
*****
Karl Sheppard - Accrington (League 2) Appearances: 7(+5) Goals: 1
Come on Karl, I know you've got it in you to prove us wrong and go on some goal scoring streak.
Sadly that streak will be harder to come by as long as he's out of the team. Sheppard didn't make the squad on Saturday, probably for the best as Accrington went down to a 5-0 defeat at Oxford.
*****
Brett Williams - Woking (Conference Premier) Appearances: 4(+8) Goals: 1
Williams managed 1 minute as a substitute as Woking crashed out of the FA Cup in the final qualifying round against Ebbsfleet.
Heading Out
Matt Partridge - Bognor Regis (Isthmian League - Premier Division) Appearances: 1
Young defender Matt Partridge joined 7th tier side Bognor Regis on a month's loan and immediately made his debut in their league game with Enfield at the weekend. Partridge's name isn't mentioned in the match report but it's safe to say he had a decent game if he was given the full 90 and kept a clean sheet.
A Royal Return
Jordan Obita - Portsmouth (League 1) Appearances: 2 (+6) Goals: 1 Red Cards: 1
Sadly a family bereavement cut short Obita's loan spell at Portsmouth, which was due to end in the next few days. Obita never regained a spot in the team after a sending off against Oldham and just 2 starts in over 2 months at the club will have been disappointing for both Obita and Reading.
The winger was back in Reading's U21 side yesterday and put in a good performance during a 3-0 win. Hopefully he'll be back out on loan again soon and getting some regular starts.
So that's the loan report for this week. If you've seen any of the guys while they're out on loan or have any comments we'd love to hear from you in the comments below!
