Joseph Mills - Burnley (Championship) Appearances: 9
Sadly the script for Joseph Mills rarely changes here, as the left-back was once again left out of the Burnley squad over the past couple of weeks.
*****
Jordan Obita - Oldham (League 1) Appearances: (+1)
Obita joined the League 1 side last week and immediately had to deal with a change in manager as Paul Dickov left the club. In his final game as manager, Dickov gave Obita a 30 minute debut at Walsall but the winger couldn't stop Oldham sliding to a 3-1 defeat.

Michael Hector
Old Loan: Aldershot (League 2) Appearances: 11 Goals: 1
FAC: Middlesbrough 2-1 Aldershot
New Loan: Cheltenham (League 2) Appearances: 2 Goals: 0
A busy month for Hector who swapped Aldershot for Cheltenham after 11 games at the recreation ground. Sadly his loan spell didn't have a happy ending, as in his final league game he conceded a penalty, before the 20-year-old saw his side beaten in the last minute of their FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough.
Hector then decided against extending his loan spell at Aldershot, which didn't go down well with their manager Dean Holdsworth.
The comments in the article above suggest it was Hector who wanted a change and in some ways you can sympathise with him. He was scrapping at the bottom of League 2 and playing in midfield which isn't his natural position, whereas Cheltenham are fighting it out towards the top and have been employing him at the back.
So far so good for Big Hec, who's helped Cheltenham to four points from a possible six and has helped keep them third in the table. He also got good feedback from Cheltenham fans which is always nice to see.
I think he started off a little nervous/unsure but relaxed and became at ease as the game went on.
Initially, a couple of minor mix ups with our more experienced centre back, Elliott, where they were both going for same ball (once nearly running into each other) but as with any partnership in that position it takes a while to get used to how the "other half" plays and positions themselves.
Wasnt put under a great deal of pressure.
Overall, a good start - no howlers or anything and settled well in the end. Also had a shot on goal.
Angus MacDonald - Torquay (League 2) Appearances: 3 (+1)
MacDonald was up against Hector this weekend as Torquay faced Cheltenham but sadly Angus had to watch on from the bench as his side were beaten 2-1.
*****
Gozie Ugwu - Plymouth (League 2) Appearances: 0
More frustrations for Gozie as his Plymouth debut has been delayed by injury. He's been back at Reading receiving treatment but the Plymouth OS claims he could be fit to take his place in the squad at the weekend for their game with Oxford.
*****
Karl Sheppard - Shamrock Rovers (League of Ireland - Premier Division)
After a miserable six month at Accrington, Sheppard has been given the chance to revive his career at former club Shamrock. Their league season hasn't got underway yet but Sheppard was involved in Shamrock's latest friendly, a 2-1 defeat against UCD. I really hope the youngster can rediscover his goalscoring form and live up to some of the promise and hope we had for him when he signed for Reading just over a year ago.
Brett Williams - Woking (Conference Premier) Appearances: 11 (+10) Goals: 4 Red Cards: 1
SSC: Woking 5-0 Farnham
Williams returned from suspension to play just over 20 minutes for Woking in their 2-1 win over Hyde. The forward then put in a good performance on the wing, scoring in Woking's 5-0 Surrey County Cup tie over Farnham.
Ben Jefford - Basingstoke (Conference South) Appearances: 5
Havant & Waterlooville 4-1 Basingstoke
Dorchester 2-2 Basingstoke
The lower down the pyramid the less you can glean about performances but from the snippets of the live commentary it seems Jefford has done OK since his return from injury. Sadly Basingstoke are really struggling near the bottom of the Conference South and Jefford and his fellow defence will really need to tighten up if they're to stay up.

A Royal Return
Dominic Samuel - Colchester (League 1) Appearances: 2
Samuel's month long loan spell at Colchester has come to end with the striker appearing twice for the Essex side. Sadly he lost his place after a couple of games and with starting opportunities limited, he's returned to Reading where he'll continue to feature for the U21 side. There was some more positive news for the forward though, as he scored for England's U19 side this week.
*****
Jake Taylor - Cheltenham (League 2) Appearances: 9 (+2) Goals: 1
Cheltenham 0-0 Rochdale
Taylor has returned to Reading after appearing 11 times for Cheltenham over the past couple of months. He put in some good displays but in the words of Cheltenham fans, was inconsistent. His final appearance came in a 12 minute cameo against Rochdale.
Jon Henly - Hungerford Town (Southern League - Division One S&W) Appearances 4
It seems Henly has returned to Reading with the 'keeper not in the town lineup over the past few weeks. One thing I can clear up is that Henly was away on Scotland U19 duty rather than England as I'd speculated a couple of weeks back! The young stopper is currently with the Scottish squad for a game with the Netherlands tonight.
