The Reading manager told Get Reading's Charles Watts
Clarke says there is scope for permanent transfer business this month, not just loan. Again refuses to rule out Murray. #readingfc

Given that Glenn Murray started Crystal Palace's game with Tottenham tonight, I still think it will be something of a surprise to see Murray in a Reading shirt come February first.
Elsewhere and reports earlier this week had Royston Drenthe very close to a move to China. However the former Netherlands international was at the Madejski Stadium today with Clarke telling the media that the winger's future still 'needs to be resolved'.
Finally, while Shaun Cummings was linked with a move to Millwall, the Reading manager has said those rumours had nothing to do with the full-back's omission from the 18 this afternoon.
We'll get more from Charles on all the latest news and rumours in next week's Tilehurst End Podcast Extra.
