Reading FC Linked With Stoke Defender

This has been one of the busiest windows for transfer rumours that we've seen here on the Tilehurst End and the latest has us linked with Stoke's German defender Robert Huth.

Football League World have picked up on quotes made by Stoke boss Mark Hughes that he's prepared to let the 30 year old head out on loan and have suggested Reading and Norwich are interested.

The Reading connection would seemingly come from Steve Clarke, who worked with Huth while he was a youngster at Chelsea.

However, the German has played barely five minutes of league football since suffering a serious knee injury 14 months ago and with one injury prone veteran at the club in Anton Ferdinand, would Reading seriously consider adding another?

The Germany International has another year on his contract to run after this and would probably be on some rather large wages so again it's difficult to see this transitioning into a permanent move.

So what do you think Tilehurst Enders, is this a move you want Clarke to make?
