Reading Football Club could do with a decent left back. Fortunately, there might be one available on loan fairly soon if the Daily Mail and a blue-tick Twitter account are to be believed. (A big if, we know.)
The Daily Mail’s LIVE transfer news blog suggested The Royals are the frontrunners for the Manchester United defender, who is currently on loan at Leeds United. His loan at Leeds looks likely to be terminated, however, with The Red Devils unhappy with his playing time at the Lilywhites.
Manchester United looking to terminate Cameron Borthwick-Jackson's loan deal with Leeds United as #mufc are really unhappy that #lufc have not kept their word regarding the defender's playing time.

Reading are the front-runner to land the player on loan with an option to buy.
The 20-year-old defender has only played once in the Championship this season, with Gaetano Berardi the first choice left back at Leeds.
Borthwick-Jackson would offer a great option at left back, and comfortably fill the Jordan Obita shaped hole in the squad. Tyler Blackett, Chris Gunter, and Omar Richards have done their best in his place, but none of them have cemented their place in the XI.
He’s fast, he’s attacking, he’s actually played for Manchester United. The only argument against this signing is whether fans would be happy to see an import from a top club come in and suck up minutes that a Reading FC academy player could — should? — be getting.
Oh, and the fact this rumour is from the ever-reliable Daily Mail. So… Y’know, this isn’t necessarily happening, but it could be a nice thing.
